Intermediate Course
This course is designed for those who have attended a beginners' creative writing course or started writing fiction but do not yet feel ready to progress to the advanced course. We will help to motivate you to write, improve technical skills and support your development as a writer.
The sessions will focus on developing character, building a narrative, improving dialogue and descriptive writing, and handling point of view and time in fiction. Participants will be set exercises in class as well as homework each week and will receive constructive feedback.
Intermediate courses will take place in the attractive surroundings of the New Cavendish Club, 44 Great Cumberland Place, London W1, near Marble Arch tube. All courses consist of six weekly three-hour sessions. Our next courses start in October. If you would like to reserve a place, please choose from the options below:
There will be a maximum of 12 people on Intermediate Courses, and the total cost is £295 per person for each course.
Payment for the full amount must be received to ensure you have a place on the course. If you wish to cancel, we will refund the fee less £75 up to three weeks before the course begins. After this we regret we cannot offer refunds.
Occasionally a substitute teacher may be employed. We have never had to cancel a class, but in the unlikely event of this happening, a suitable alternative date will be arranged or a refund for that session given.
