Original Course


The Monday and Saturday courses take place in the attractive surroundings of the Groucho Club, London's well-known literary venue, at 45 Dean Street, Soho. The Tuesday evening course will take place at the New Cavendish Club, 44 Great Cumberland Place, London W1, near Marble Arch tube.

There are four six-week courses next term, one on Monday afternoons, one on Saturday mornings and one on Saturday afternoons at the Groucho Club, and one on Tuesday evenings at the New Cavendish Club. The tutors on Saturday mornings will be Karen Falconer and Dreda Say Mitchell, on Tuesday evenings Karen Falconer and Maggie Hamand, and on Saturday and Monday afternoons Maggie Hamand and Shaun Levin.

There will be a maximum of 16 people on the Original Course, and the total cost is £245 for each course.

Cheques for the full amount must be received to ensure you have a place on the course. If you wish to cancel, we will refund the fee less £75 up to three weeks before the course begins. After this we regret we cannot offer refunds. We can also arrange to receive payment by direct bank transfer.

Occasionally a substitute teacher may be employed. We have never had to cancel a class, but in the unlikely event of this happening, a suitable alternative date will be arranged or a refund for that session given.
